Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in planning food production to coordinate with meal serving hours.
• Completed and current with Food Service Manager’s Certification Program for the City of Houston.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food following program’s systems and procedures for meals (three meals and two snacks daily).
• Plan and post menus; ensure availability of food items and supplies; label and store foods safely.
• Maintain kitchen appliances and utensils; keep kitchen and dining areas clean and hazard-free; observe sanitation and health standards.
• Conduct weekly inventories, assist with purchasing, and coordinate with vendors for food/supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the program supervisor.
