Job summary

Sample Supports seeks a dependable Job/Career Coach to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities develop vocational skills and obtain meaningful employment in community workplaces.

You will provide hands-on instruction, supervision, advocacy, and individualized support while helping each person build confidence and independence. This role may include Day Program coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old due to driving responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to transport individuals and meet MVR and insurance standards.
• Strong communication, patience, reliability, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to complete accurate electronic documentation on time.
• Willingness to perform trained NVCI interventions when necessary to maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized job coaching at community workplaces.
• Teach job duties, workplace routines, time management, and professional behavior.
• Help individuals understand and meet employer expectations.
• Support individuals in building confidence, independence, and long-term employment stability.
• Provide on-site training, supervision, advocacy, and problem-solving.
• Communicate concerns and progress to team members.
