Job summary

Developmental Enterprises is seeking a Community Employment Specialist to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in securing and maintaining meaningful work. You will assess goals, facilitate job matching, and coordinate supports with families, employers, and service providers.

You will advocate for integrated employment, provide on-the-job coaching, and help build natural supports within the workplace and community.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in supported employment or related roles.
• Experience with job development and employer outreach preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in community-based settings.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient with electronic documentation, reports, billing and related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assess individual strengths, interests and goals to guide employment planning.
• Develop employment opportunities through outreach to businesses and community partners.
• Provide individualized job coaching and ongoing follow-up to support retention.
• Promote community integration and utilization of natural supports in workplaces.
• Coordinate transportation, documentation, billing, and required reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries with individuals and partners.
