Job summary

Mahube Otwa Community Action Partnership is seeking an Intake Navigator for our Head Start program in Park Rapids and Detroit Lakes, MN. This full-time role handles calls, walk-ins, intakes, and paperwork, delivering services to families with sensitivity and privacy.

You will schedule appointments, manage applications, and support program outreach while maintaining accurate records and communicating clearly with clients and staff.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED plus a technical/vocational certificate and 1–3 years of clerical experience.
• Ability to work with people of all backgrounds; interest or experience with low-income programs.
• Apply common sense solutions in standardized situations.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to explain instructions clearly.
• Good computer, email, Internet, data entry and database skills.
• Strong independent initiative with limited supervision.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality; valid driver’s license; DHS NetStudy clearance.

Responsibilities

• Process phone calls and walk-ins and schedule appointments.
• Complete intakes, process applications and related paperwork.
• Provide services to clients and households; support outreach activities.
