MAHUBE-OTWA is seeking an Intake Navigator for our Energy Assistance program in Detroit Lakes, MN. This non-exempt, full-time role involves processing calls and walk-ins, scheduling appointments, completing intakes, and handling applications with strong attention to privacy and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED plus a vocational certificate and 1–3 years of clerical experience, with excellent computer, data-entry, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma (or GED) plus Technical/Vocational certificate and 1 to 3 years related clerical experience.
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and programs for low-income households is critical.
• Strong data entry, computer, and organizational skills are required.
• Effective oral and written communication; ability to express instructions to clients and staff.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Process phone calls and walk-ins, schedule appointments, complete intakes, and process applications.
• Handle paperwork and provide services to clients and households.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality in all dealings and maintain accurate records.
• Utilize email, Internet, and databases to manage client information and documentation.
• Work with a positive, service-minded approach in a non-exempt, full-time role.
