The role involves handling calls and walk-ins, scheduling, completing intakes and applications, and performing related paperwork to support at-risk households. Ideal candidates will have strong clerical and computer skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma (or GED) plus Technical/Vocational certificate and 1 to 3 years related clerical experience.
• The ability to work and communicate with people of all backgrounds; interest in working with programs for low-income households.
• Experience with data entry and basic computer skills including email, Internet, and databases.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with clients and staff.
• Must have a valid drivers license and be able to travel to locations within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Process phone calls and walk-ins, schedule appointments, and complete intakes.
• Process applications and related paperwork for housing program clients.
• Provide services to clients and households and maintain client privacy.
• Maintain organized records and assist with data entry and reporting.
• Demonstrate tact and diplomacy when dealing with the public and staff.
