Job summary

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years' experience working with people with disabilities or behavioral issues.
• Bachelor's degree in special education, therapeutic recreation, psychology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with assigned individuals to implement their Individual Plan, integrate into the community, build skills, and develop daily schedules.
• Engage individuals in meaningful community activities to develop skills and social supports.
• Provide services as outlined in Individual Plans, ensuring goals and progress benchmarks are met.
• Demonstrate positive behavioral management techniques in a person-centered manner.
• Complete progress notes, daily logs, timesheets, mileage logs, and planning activities thoroughly and promptly.
• Facilitate self-esteem through positive interactions and building trust.
• Develop activities promoting community involvement, self-help, employment, and independent living.
• Communicate with supervisor and individuals regarding schedule implementation.
• Attend required training, staff meetings, stakeholder meetings, and supervision meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
