Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) seeks a Community Inclusion Specialist in Massachusetts to support adults with developmental disabilities in community-based activities. You’ll implement Individual Support Plans, assist with transportation, and help participants engage in meaningful recreational, educational, and social experiences.

This part-time role emphasizes independence, self-advocacy, and community participation, with flexible hours and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum three (3) years of experience with adults with developmental disabilities (preferred).
Valid driver’s license & vehicle.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Support adults with developmental disabilities in community-based activities and outings.
Implement Individual Support Plans and person-centered goals.
Facilitate meaningful recreational, educational, and social activities.
Promote independence, self-advocacy, and community participation.
Provide transportation to community activities and appointments.
Complete required documentation and progress notes.
Manage outing budgets and activity expenses as needed.
Provide basic first aid and ensure participant safety.
