Community Connections Inc. in Mashpee, MA is seeking Developmental Specialists to support individuals with disabilities within the Day Center.

You will implement the Day Habilitation Service Plan (DHSP), document progress, and help participants achieve greater engagement across physical, emotional, and social domains. The role emphasizes compassion, accessibility, and teamwork, with responsibilities in documentation, direct assistance, safety, and enriching community experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year’s experience and/or training with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Strong problem solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Strong computer and word processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Document each person’s progress towards DHSP objectives.
• Assist individuals physically as necessary.
• Ensure individuals health, safety and general well being.
• Provide and maintain community based habilitation/therapeutic experiences through social, recreational and volunteer opportunities, based on the individual’s needs and wishes.
• Ensure and safeguard individuals’ human dignity, rights, and liberties.

Description

Community Connections Inc. is looking for Developmental Specialists to join our Day Center team based in Mashpee, MA. In this role, you will support individuals with disabilities by implementing their Day Habilitation Service Plan (DHSP) and documenting their progress. You will help people become more engaged and reach their maximum potential in physical, emotional and social abilities. You will partner with Community Connections in their mission to provide optimal independence and enriching services to people with disabilities. We are looking for someone with a commitment to compassion, promoting accessibility and serving the community.
