Job summary

The Community Impact Program Specialist at United Way of Southern Nevada provides administrative and project support to CI Managers, Directors and the Senior Director. You will handle data entry, reporting, scheduling, and file management to keep multiple community impact initiatives running smoothly.

You will communicate with community members and partners in English and a second language when needed, assist with grant reports, and help coordinate events and referrals to essential services.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Social Work, Urban Studies, Emergency Management, or a similar field.
• Two years of administrative support or social services experience.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet project deadlines.
• Strong time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English and a second language (preferably Spanish, Chinese, or Tagalog).
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Experience with early childhood or K-12 education, human services, basic needs, housing programs, or volunteerism.
• Experience working in deadline-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to UWSN Program Directors and Program Managers overseeing emergency assistance programs, community impact grant programs, and supportive service programs.
• Respond to requests for assistance from community members and agency contacts in both English and other languages.
• Support CI Team in compiling and submitting regular reports to funders.
• Create agendas, meeting invitations, and meeting minutes.
• Process incoming applications and requests for assistance from community members and employees of corporate partners.
• Make referrals to community-based service providers for food, housing, shelter, and other basic needs assistance.
• Conduct data entry, data cleaning, and development of spreadsheets specific to project needs.
• Assist in the development and dissemination of reports and related documents promoting UWSN Community Impact Programs.
• Maintain organized and updated files and reports for multiple projects in collaboration with multiple team members.
• Act as liaison between CI team and Marketing team.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English and a second language is strongly preferred.
