Job summary

United Way of Massachusetts Bay is seeking a temporary Program Assistant to provide coordination and administrative support for multiple programs in our Community Impact division. The role focuses on Board Connection and assisting leaders across Housing, Economic Inclusion, and Youth initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and skilled at project management, data handling, and cross-department collaboration, with a willingness to work a hybrid schedule and some

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a related Human Services field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in virtual and in-person facilitation including technical proficiency.
• Advanced familiarity with Zoom meeting management (breakouts, polls, troubleshooting).
• Experience with online course administration and team collaboration software.
• Strong project management and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Clear communication and presentation of ideas.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of strategic initiatives across departments.
• Assist with the Board Connection virtual training series and portal operations.
• Manage registration, session calendars, and participant communications.
• Coordinate post-session deliverables including recordings, slides, and surveys.
• Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings; prepare agendas and materials; track attendance and follow-up.
