Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles seeks a senior administrator to lead community engagement within the Community Affairs Department. The role coordinates outreach with other departments and external partners to inform residents and stakeholders about HACLA activities and initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in communications or related field and at least five years in public outreach with supervisory experience, plus deep knowledge of HUD programs and resident rights.
The posted salary is an estimate of the potential annual pay. Final offer will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
Candidates can expect to be hired within the 8-step salary range of $130,748.80 - $161,657.60.
Under general direction, plans, organizes, manages, and provides administrative direction and oversight for the community engagement, outreach, and activities in the Community Affairs Department. The incumbent in this position will coordinate the communication engagement activities of the department with those of other departments and outside agencies.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a closely related field -AND- five (5) years’ experience in public outreach, economic development, or community engagement, including two (2) years of supervision -OR- any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a valid California Class "C" Driver's License.

Candidates will start at step one of an eight (8) step salary range unless there are special exceptions in accordance with agency Personnel Rules.
