Job summary

NYU Langone Health's Center for Healthful Behavior Change (CHBC) within IEHE seeks a Project Coordinator to support NIH-funded community-based research. You will coordinate outreach, recruitment, retention, and field activities for the CLIP HTN program and collaborate with barbershops and community partners.

Reporting to a Manager or Director, you will maintain study timelines, prepare materials, assist with data collection, and ensure IRB-compliant operations while building strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Effective oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interface with all levels of management and work with internal and external customers.
• Time management and ability to multi-task while paying attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with participating barbershop owners, barbers, community organizations, research participants, and other community stakeholders.
• Conduct community-based outreach and engage prospective participants to increase awareness of the research studies and support recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
• Communicate study opportunities clearly to prospective participants and community partners using IRB-approved materials.
• Develop and implement outreach approaches to increase study visibility and maximize participant recruitment and engagement.
• Assist with planning and coordinating community events, recruitment activities, screening events, and stakeholder-facing activities.
• Support participant screening, scheduling, enrollment, informed consent, and follow-up activities per IRB protocols.
