Job summary

NYU Langone Health invites applications for a Community Health Rep with the Center for Healthful Behavior Change in NYC. This role supports a community-engaged maternal health initiative developed with Family Health Centers at NYU Langone Health and NYC Health + Hospitals.

The work blends outreach, education, and health coaching by Community Health Workers to improve maternal outcomes. The ideal candidate will assist with protocol development, participant recruitment, and coordination of care,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 year of related office experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in science, public health, or health education.

Responsibilities

• Participate in trainings on nutrition, stress, weight management, and outreach.
• Translate and adapt flyers and materials for diverse communities.
• Liaise between pregnant participants, healthcare providers, and the research team.
• Conduct group and 1:1 sessions on maternal health, nutrition, and weight gain.
• Maintain a caseload of ~25 pregnant participants and coordinate care.
