Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks a Program Specialist to advance community health and engagement initiatives across Chicago.

You will lead collaborative efforts with partners to identify health priorities, develop innovative strategies, and advocate for equitable access to resources for marginalized populations, supporting the department’s goals and mission. You will manage program operations, communications, and evaluation, while mentoring staff and coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community health programming or related field.
• Strong project management experience and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends; travel throughout Chicago likely.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365; experience with databases and survey tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead collaborative efforts with partners to identify health priorities and develop community health strategies.
• Serve as liaison for community partners, residents, and marginalized populations to promote equitable access.
• Cultivate relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and service providers.
• Plan and implement community convenings, trainings, and curricula to promote inclusive participation.
• Manage program operations, logistics, budgeting, and reporting on progress and outcomes.
• Support administrative tasks and coordinate communications and marketing efforts.
• Develop grant and philanthropic reporting with leadership guidance.
