Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks a Program Coordinator for Community Health Education and Advocacy to support CHEA curricula, advocacy and health equity initiatives across Chicago.

You will coordinate planning, evaluation, reporting and funding efforts under the CHEA Director, collaborating with clinicians, trainees and community partners. Requirements include an associate degree (bachelor preferred) and 2+ years in community health work, plus strong project

Qualifications

• Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in community health programming or engagement, education, healthcare/public health, administration, or related field required.
• Strong project coordination experience and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility to work on evenings and weekends, travel throughout Chicago likely.
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify health priorities and develop community health strategies.
• Coordinate planning, development, implementation and evaluation of community health initiatives under guidance of senior staff and manager.
• Act as contact for Lurie Children’s with community partners, residents and marginalized populations across Chicago neighborhoods.
