Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Program Coordinator for CHEA to support operations, planning, coordination, communication and evaluation of community health education and advocacy initiatives.

You will work with pediatric healthcare providers and trainees to develop curricula, sustain advocacy efforts, and expand health equity programs across Chicago. The role requires collaboration, event management, and grant support within the Magoon Institute.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. A combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience is directly related to the duties of the job.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in community health programming or engagement, education, healthcare/public health, administration, or related field required.
• Strong project coordination experience and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility to work on evenings and weekends, travel throughout Chicago likely.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify health priorities and develop community health and engagement strategies.
• Coordinate planning, development, implementation and evaluation of initiatives and events within the Magoon Institute under guidance of senior staff.
• Act as contact for community partners and stakeholders across Chicago neighborhoods.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including communications, scheduling and reporting of meetings and events.
• Support coordination of convenings, trainings and workshops with diverse representation.
• Coordinate program logistics, track expenditures, prepare status reports and assist with meetings and administrative tasks.
• Assist in communications, marketing and social media for initiatives and education.
• Support program evaluation through data collection and participant feedback.
• Assist in connecting healthcare providers with community resources and engage leaders.
• Assist in grant and philanthropic applications and reporting to funders.
• Facilitate trainings and assist with HR processes for staff, interns and volunteers.
• Attend regular leadership check-ins and department meetings.
