Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Program Specialist to advance community health initiatives across Chicago, leading collaboration with partners and guiding program operations at the Magoon Institute.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and at least 3 years in community health or related fields, with strong project management and MS 365 skills. Hybrid schedule; includes local travel and evening/weekend flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in community health programming or engagement, healthcare/public health, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead collaborative efforts with partners to identify health priorities and develop innovative community health strategies.
• Provide project management in planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives within the Magoon Institute.
• Serve as liaison with community partners, advocating for equitable access to resources and services for marginalized populations.
• Cultivate relationships with community-based organizations and institutions to promote engagement and capacity-building.
• Design and coordinate training sessions, workshops, and curricula to promote inclusive participation and diverse perspectives.
• Manage program operations and logistics, financial stewardship, and reporting on progress and impact.
• Support communications, marketing, and social media strategies to raise awareness and engagement.
• Oversee program evaluation by data collection, analysis, and informing strategic decisions.
• Facilitate connections between healthcare providers and community partners to improve access to education and services.
• Support grant applications and philanthropic reporting under guidance.
