Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our care teams delivering high-touch primary care in communities served. You will greet and room patients, take vital signs, and assist in assessing health conditions during appointments.

You will perform screenings, assist with vaccinations and basic tests, support care coordination, and help ensure a safe, efficient clinic flow. US work authorization required; CPR and MA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Medical Assistant certification or registration is required.
• 3–5 years MA experience preferred.
• EMR experience is required.
• 2+ years of geriatric patient care preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
• US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and assists the provider to keep the schedule.
• Delivers an exceptional patient experience and helps patients prepare for visits.
• Obtains vital signs and reviews medications.
• Performs patient screenings per protocols.
• Orders supplies and stocks exam rooms.
• Maintains infection control measures and checks equipment/medications.
• Provides telephonic support and home-based patient assistance as needed.
• Administers vaccinations and basic procedures under RN/Provider guidance.
• Performs waived laboratory testing and schedules diagnostics.
