Job summary

Oak Street Health is hiring Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to support high‑touch, primary care for adults on Medicare in community settings. You will room patients, take vitals, review medications, and assist in procedures under RN direction.

Ideal candidates have MA certification and 3–5 years in MA roles, with EMR experience, strong communication skills, and a patient‑centered approach. Bilingual abilities are a plus; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required and EMR experience expected.
• 3–5 years in a Medical Assistant role preferred.
• Geriatric patient care experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Room patients efficiently and support providers to maintain schedule.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience and prep patients for visits.
• Obtain vital signs and review medications, conduct screenings per protocols.
• Order supplies, stock exam rooms, and perform quality checks.
• Provide telephonic support under RN/provider direction and assist with home-based care for high-risk patients.
• Assist with vaccinations and procedures as directed; perform waived lab tests.
• Document medical records and coordinate diagnostic testing.
