Job summary

The Ironton-Lawrence County Community Action Organization (ILCAO) invites applications for a Front Office Assistant role at our busy clinic. You will be the first point of contact, greeting patients, answering phones, and assisting with registration and check-in to ensure smooth daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant experience in a medical office or customer service setting; knowledge of medical terminology and insurance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in a medical office or similar customer service role; knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families, answer phones, and assist with registration and check-in to support smooth daily operations.
• Obtain and verify financial and demographic information, promote patient portals and telehealth services, and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and efficiency to create a welcoming front office environment.
