Job summary

Ironton-Lawrence County Community Action Organization seeks a physician to serve uninsured and underinsured patient populations in Ohio. The role supports Patient-Centered Medical Home plans, delivering diagnoses, treatments, and referrals while upholding medical standards and exceptional patient service in a clinic setting.

The ideal candidate holds MD or DO, an unrestricted Ohio license, ongoing CME, a current DEA certificate, and a BLS card.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medicine.
• Current unrestricted license from the State of Ohio Medical Board to practice as a physician in the State of Ohio.
• Annual continual medical education as required by Board Specialty.
• Must be registered and have a current unrestricted DEA certificate.
• Current copy of BLS (Basic Life Support) Card.
• Must not be excluded from participating in Federal or State Health Care Programs.
• Must have strong listening, written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as outline in the Family Medical Center employment contract including diagnoses, treatment and/or proper referral.
• Maintain expected medical standards and deliver patient care with utmost customer service, compassion, and integrity.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate should be committed to helping the patient population (includes uninsured and underinsured) reach optimal health can support the plans and operations within a Patient-Centered Medical Home.
