Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Community Health Aide/Practitioner trainee for the Russian Mission area in rural Alaska. This full-time position requires relocation to a village, travel for training, and year-round clinic coverage in diverse health settings.

The program emphasizes primary, acute, chronic and preventive care, with mandatory training in Health Aide sessions and certifications. The role supports telehealth, RPMS usage and patient education in a remote community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and perform math at roughly an 8th grade level.
• Willing to travel to Bethel or other sites for training and services.
• Proficiency with RPMS and Telehealth within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, acute, chronic and preventive health care in village clinics.
• Deliver emergency care as needed and participate in preventive care activities.
• Relocate to a village and provide year-round coverage, including summers.
