Job summary

CNS Healthcare is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to mentor individuals with serious mental illness and assist with community integration. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to provide support, share lived experience, and promote independence and recovery.

The role involves helping clients navigate services, attend team meetings, and document progress in accordance with CNS policies. A pathway to Michigan CPSS certification is provided, with benefits including paid time off and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet eligibility for State of Michigan Peer Support Specialist Certification.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring to individuals with serious mental illness.
• Assist with daily living activities and community resources.
• Attend team meetings and follow supervisor assignments.
• Support PCP planning and client self-determination.
• Complete documentation accurately per CNS policy.
• Promote trauma-informed service delivery.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and quality care standards.
