Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Community Manager to oversee a California property with emphasis on resident satisfaction and financial performance. The role requires professionalism, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate on-site operations while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The position demands leadership, ability to respond to resident concerns, and collaboration with vendors and senior leadership to deliver a high-quality living environment and strong community results.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in the property management industry.
• 2+ years of experience as a community/property manager.
• Demonstrated ability to diffuse and respond to resident concerns, avoiding escalation.
• Proven effective and efficient leadership experience.
• Knowledge of LIHTC and Tax Credit qualifications required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Capacity to interact effectively with senior executives.
• Ability to work well under time and other constraints.
• Professional presentation and appearance.
• Familiarity and ability with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, and email

Responsibilities

• Resident Relations + Customer Service: Ensure a positive experience for the entire resident life-cycle - from move-in to move-out.
• Fiduciary: Manage budgets, rent rolls, projections, and occupancy goals.
• Staff Leadership: Lead on-site operations, set goals, and develop staff.
• Adherence to Property Management Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines: Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, and related laws.
