Job summary

The Tampa JCCs & Federation is seeking an Engagement Associate to support the Director of Engagement in a variety of programmatic and outreach activities within the Tampa Jewish community.

You will help plan and coordinate events, manage communications, recruit volunteers, and develop content for newsletters and social media while ensuring strong relationships with congregants and partners. A background in nonprofit engagement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university.
• Three to five years of professional work experience in a non-profit organization or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
• Understanding of Jewish values, holidays, traditions and culture.
• Must have knowledge and ability to use databases, computer spreadsheets, word processing and other basic programs (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel), and email marketing programs (such as Constant Contact or Mailchimp).

Responsibilities

• Providing programmatic support and assistance for Federation Engagement initiatives including venue and equipment reservations, guest speaker coordination and event materials.
• Assist in developing and implementing engaging programs for diverse audiences and coordinate logistics with partners and volunteers.
• Engage constituents and program participants via personal contact, calls, emails, and correspondence.
• Attend Federation Engagement programs and provide coordination and facilitation support.
• Fully manage the iVolunteer initiative and create marketing communications for Shalom Tampa, Jbuzz and IMPACT newsletters.
