Job summary

The Tampa JCCs and Federation seeks an Executive Director to grow membership and programs, supervise staff, and lead fundraising efforts. The role will be a principal public face for the organization, overseeing operations and strategic initiatives for the Shanna and Bryan Glazer JCC and JCC North Campus.

Preferred candidates have JCC or Jewish communal experience, strong leadership and budget skills, and a proven ability to secure gifts, sponsorships, and government/foundation grants.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree; an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• History of growth/effectiveness in a JCC or Jewish community environment is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of senior leadership experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and persuasive English communication (oral & written).
• Strong knowledge of Judaism and Jewish culture; values and customs respected.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to innovate.
• Ability to build strong teams and develop people; unifying mission and culture.
• Strong budgeting skills and experience.
• Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience across demographics.
• Demonstrate integrity, honesty, respect and discretion in interactions.
• Strong computer skills and ability to master diverse databases and platforms.
• Drive for results, prioritization, follow-through and delegation.
• Commitment to quality programs and data-driven evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead staff across JCC programs, preschool, aftercare/camp and membership.
• Lead donor relations, securing gifts, sponsorships, grants and endowments.
• Represent the Tampa JCCs within the JCC network and to the broader community.
• Attend board meetings and report high-level administrative/ program progress.
• Maintain a balanced budget and monitor financial performance.
• Oversee risk management, safety and security across JCC facilities.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to grow membership, programs, funding and facilities.
