Job summary

CitizensNYC in New York, NY, is seeking a Program Associate, Community Engagement, to strengthen the citywide network of grassroots leaders. You will design and facilitate workshops, coordinate events, and support grant cycles with data and outreach activities.

The role requires 2–4 years in related work, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and comfort with Salesforce, FormAssembly, Excel, and Airtable. Hybrid schedule with on-site days in Harlem and remote days as needed.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Have 2–4 years of experience in event coordination, outreach, workshop facilitation, or program support.
• Be organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, FormAssembly, Excel, and Airtable, including creating spreadsheets, tables, and charts; pivot tables and filters; data tracking; Airtable views, forms, and basic automations.
• Be comfortable conducting surveys, analyzing data, and summarizing insights.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse communities; Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic or other NYC language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and facilitate in-person and virtual workshops, orientations, and community convenings.
• Collaborate with staff and facilitators to develop engaging agendas and materials.
• Manage event logistics: scheduling, venue coordination, registrations, and follow-up.
• Gather participant feedback to improve future workshop design and delivery.
• Conduct weekly outreach to grantee partners and community leaders to raise awareness.
• Represent CitizensNYC at community meetings, workshops, and public events.
• Assist with grant review and coordination of orientations, check-ins, and reports.
• Record and manage data related to applications, events, and outreach in Salesforce and FormAssembly.
