Job summary

Camden County Sheriff’s Office seeks a Community Engagement & Open Records Coordinator to plan and execute outreach initiatives, supporting public safety education and internal morale efforts. This role interfaces with external communities, schools, and nonprofits, coordinating the Citizens Academy and Open Records tasks under the Public Information Division.

Under the Public Information Division, the coordinator maintains event calendars, develops outreach materials, and supports engagement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Two years of experience in community outreach or related field preferred.
• Open Records Certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.
• GCIC/NCIC certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement community relations, outreach programs, and engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate the Sheriff's Citizens Academy: recruitment, scheduling, curriculum, logistics, and graduation.
• Represent the Sheriff’s Office at community meetings, schools, nonprofit functions, and public forums.
• Develop and distribute outreach materials and content in coordination with the Public Information Division.
• Maintain a comprehensive calendar of community events and engagement activities.
• Prepare reports and summaries documenting activities, participation, and outcomes.
• Complete Open Records Tasks as needed.
