Job summary

Coconino County is seeking a Community Engagement professional to promote County services, initiatives, and programs. You will design strategies to engage diverse populations and lead volunteer councils while collaborating with partner agencies and vendors.

The position requires strong communications and event management skills, the ability to work outside standard hours for events, and a passion for connecting government with residents. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications or related field.
• 1 year of professional work experience in marketing, public relations, communications, or equivalent.
• Must obtain AZ driver’s license by hire date and be able to work outside normal hours for events.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes strategic community engagement efforts to increase understanding of County programs.
• Implements branding and organizational goals across outreach efforts.
• Leads and manages volunteer Councils and event teams.
• Coordinates digital engagement with social media, web tools, and partners.
• Plans and participates in community events and information booths.
• Oversees budget for community relations and special events activities.
