Job summary

Goodwill is seeking an experienced vocational counselor in Orlando to help participants move toward competitive employment. You will conduct orientations, assess barriers, and assist in building individualized plans with clear goals, alongside coaching on employability skills.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, performing initial client assessments, tracking progress, and providing post-placement follow-up to ensure long-term job stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field is required.
• A minimum of two years related social service experience.
• MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint knowledge; basic database skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct orientation for new participants and initial assessments.
• Develop individualized training plans with measurable, time-limited goals.
• Provide vocational counseling and employability skills training.
• Monitor progress, attendance, and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
• Offer post-placement follow-up for 90 days and coaching as needed.
• Collaborate with referral sources and employers to assist job placement.
