Job summary

Orion Industries is seeking dedicated staff to coach and support individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them adapt to tasks and grow in their careers. The role involves on-the-job training, collaboration with families, and building connections with employers to create new opportunities.

Responsibilities include coordinating supports, maintaining records, and ensuring positive behavioral approaches in service delivery.

Qualifications

• Level 1 – Associate degree or high school diploma with one year experience working with people with I / DD, preferably in a vocational setting
• Level 2 or 3 – Bachelor’s degree in related field or certification in employment services such as CESP or experience in lieu of education
• Lead – Bachelor’s degree in related field or minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership role in the DDA community

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and ongoing support to employees, managers, and coworkers to ensure successful job performance.
• Support career growth through regular onsite visits, identifying opportunities, and addressing personnel issues with solutions such as behavior supports, communication systems, and adaptive technology.
• Develop community job opportunities using best-practice job development strategies, including environmental/job analysis and creation of business proposals.
