Job summary

Orion Industries in Washington state seeks an Employment Consultant to support clients on employment and community inclusion journeys. You will help clients identify strengths and connect them with inclusive activities in their communities during on-site work.

Responsibilities include coaching, case management, and coordinating with families and funders. A flexible schedule and ability to work with diverse stakeholders are required, with ITAR-related emphasis and driving responsibilities

Qualifications

• Experience with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and their impact on employment.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/evenings/holidays.
• Some direct sales experience or pitching concepts.
• Must pass background check including BCCU.
• Valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass Orion driving abstract for client transport.
• Pre-employment drug test required.
• Effective communication with diverse stakeholders in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and ongoing support to supported employees.
• Support career growth with on-site visits and issue resolution.
• Develop fading plans for coaching supports with employment or CI activities.
• Develop community job opportunities using job development strategies.
• Market services to employers and build community relationships.
• Conduct vocational assessments and advocate best practices with DDA staff.
