Job summary

The City of New York is seeking an Elections Manager for NYCHA’s Voter Engagement Department in New York City. This role leads Tenant Association elections across developments, coordinating schedules, materials, and outreach to residents and partners.

You will supervise Election Associates and craft targeted engagement plans for new voting sites. Ideal candidates bring strong community engagement skills, GOTV experience, and housing policy familiarity.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or related duties.
• High school graduation and six years of related community work experience.
• Equivalency with at least one year in addition to the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute Tenant Association elections across NYCHA developments with scheduling, materials and communications.
• Manage the Election Associates to ensure timely work and delivery.
• Develop individualized engagement and voting plans for new development sites and coordinate engagement activities.
• Serve as a primary contact for residents, partners and stakeholders during elections.
• Track election timelines, results and resident feedback with accuracy.
• Represent the department and present voter engagement materials at meetings.
• Build relationships with tenant leaders, NYCHA leadership and external stakeholders.
• Collect and analyze data on elections and voter engagement to identify improvements.
• Perform administrative tasks including maintaining materials and updating databases.
