Qualifications

• Experience in program coordination, education, event planning, administration or community engagement preferred.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the public.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of employment and student matters.
• Ability to effectively manage time and responsibilities.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and general knowledge of issues and challenges related to adult and community education.
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all details regarding community education class schedules and facilities.
• Interview and hire instructors for community education classes.
• Publish community education class offerings.
• Register students for classes, collect tuition, and issue receipts.
• Maintain records and materials related to the community education program.
• Coordinate the annual Safe Sitter course.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines & work independently.
