Havre Public School is seeking a paraprofessional to assist certified staff with students in the classroom, helping reinforce reading, math, language arts, and computer instruction. The role includes supervision during non-instructional activities and field trips, as well as supporting students with special needs to maximize inclusion.

Under supervision, you will aid in lesson delivery, assist with record-keeping and behavior management, and prepare educational materials.

Qualifications

• Assist students with reading, language arts, mathematics, and computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups.
• Assist in administration and correction of tests and assessments.
• Prepare materials and reinforce instructional materials and skills.
• Assist with record-keeping of student learning and performance.
• Assist with classroom behavioral management to minimize disruptions and maintain safety.
• Assist students in non-instructional areas (lunch, bus duty, playground, etc.).
• Accompany students on field trips for supervision.
• Construct, copy and distribute educational materials as needed.
• Assist students with special needs to maximize inclusion and learning.
• Participate in IEP processes as needed.
• Assist with daily living activities for students with disabilities when required.
• Follow safety rules and proper assistance procedures.
