Job summary

The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey is seeking a Development & Community Engagement Coordinator to support fundraising, communications, volunteer engagement, and community outreach from our main office in Trenton, New Jersey. The role manages donor databases, processes gifts, and fosters relationships with volunteers, corporate partners, and community groups to advance the agency’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; preferred majors include Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Social Media Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related fields.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a professional office, nonprofit, development, communications, or community relations environment.
• Experience with donor database management required; experience managing social media platforms and content creation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain accurate donor, volunteer, and constituent records.
• Process gifts, pledges, in-kind donations, and gift card donations.
• Generate acknowledgments and personalized thank-you letters for financial and in-kind contributions.
