Job summary

CHSofNJ is seeking a Development & Community Engagement Coordinator to support fundraising, communications, volunteer engagement, and community outreach from our Trenton office.

You will manage donor records, process gifts, craft acknowledgments and newsletters, oversee social media content, recruit volunteers, and cultivate partnerships with community groups and corporate partners to advance the agency’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of two years in nonprofit, development, communications or related field.
• Experience with donor databases required.
• Experience managing social media platforms preferred.
• Volunteer management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage donor, volunteer, and constituent records.
• Process gifts, pledges, in-kind donations, and gift card donations.
• Acknowledge contributions with personalized letters and receipts.
• Coordinate donor communications and fundraising campaigns.
• Support social media strategy and content creation.
• Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding and schedules.
• Develop community outreach and external relations.
