Job summary

NANA is seeking a part-time digital navigator to support Alaska Native community members with affordable connectivity and digital skills. The role, based in the NANA Village Office, offers about four hours per day, Monday through Friday, and involves in-person or remote contact to help clients access services and devices.

You will assess clients’ technology needs, provide guidance on low-cost internet options, coach users, and document progress for continuous improvement and outreach efforts.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 6–12 months of customer service or related experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and internet.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
  • Willingness to learn digital inclusion resources.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate interactions with clients seeking assistance.
  • Discuss home internet access needs and technology experiences.
  • Assess technology access and set goals for services.
  • Advise on free or low-cost home internet options.
  • Help clients apply for services and secure access.
  • Coach clients to use home internet to meet goals.
  • Track progress and maintain records.
  • Plan and manage client assistance to meet goals.
  • Contribute to marketing and outreach for the program.
  • Provide occasional presentations to partners and stakeholders.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
