Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation is seeking a digital navigator in Alaska. This part-time role supports community members with connectivity, devices, and digital skills, helping them access affordable internet and services from the NANA Village Office or remotely.

The navigator will assess needs, provide coaching, assist with applications for low-cost services, track progress, and contribute to outreach efforts. Candidates should have customer service experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of customer service or related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet navigation; quick learner of new tech.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with patient, respectful manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and document interactions.

Responsibilities

• Initiate interactions with clients seeking assistance
• Discuss their home internet access and needs, technology experiences, and access to devices
• Assess clients’ access to technology, current digital skill level, connectivity needs, and internet use priorities. Set agreed goals for digital navigator services
• Advise clients about free or low-cost home internet service options and assist with applications
• Provide information about sources of low-cost computers or devices and device repair and maintenance
• Coach clients to use home internet services to meet their goals and refer to digital skill training
• Track client progress and maintain records; report outcomes
• Plan and manage assistance to each client to fulfill goals
• Contribute to marketing and outreach for the program
• Provide occasional presentations about the program to partners and clients
• Other duties as needed
