Buehler YMCA is hiring a Community Concierge team to translate a passion for customer service into a rewarding career at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. The role interacts with community members, offers solutions, and helps people discover YMCA programs and services.

Qualifications

• Greet and assist community members, delivering friendly service.

• Support facility operations by partnering with local Community Hub leadership to ensure community spaces are clean at all times.
• Anticipate individual’s needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock, as needed.
• Ensure front desk operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Conduct hub tours responsive to the needs of prospective customers; sell memberships.

Scope and Responsibility

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Earned high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and/or holidays, as needed.
• Top‑notch verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Bilingual, English/Spanish highly preferred.

Child Abuse Prevention

• Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor.
• Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children.
• Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor.
• Completing all child abuse prevention training as required.
