Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a County Caseworker 2 to help families and individuals access employment, housing, and community opportunities. You will coordinate supports, develop plans, and work with families, schools, and service partners to foster independence.

This full-time role requires strong writing and documentation skills and may require outside hours to meet family needs. Telework is not available; schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience as County Caseworker 1 or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program.
• Bachelor's degree with a social welfare major or related social sciences credits.
• Equivalency: 12 college credits in sociology/social welfare/psychology plus one year of professional social casework experience.

Responsibilities

• Service Coordination: Coordinate needed supports and connect individuals with community resources
• Plan Development: Develop and update Individual Support Plans based on changing needs
• Community Engagement: Work within the community and collaborate with families, schools, and providers
• Progress Monitoring: Track service effectiveness and ensure supports are meeting established goals
• Documentation Skills: Maintain accurate records using strong writing, typing, and computer abilities
