Job summary

Columbia Community Mental Health is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join the Outpatient Addictions Department in Saint Helens, Oregon. You will provide peer-based support to individuals across age groups as assigned by a supervisor or administrator, contributing to the integrated care team in a community clinic setting.

The role requires a QMHP-designee or Peer Specialist certification, a bachelor’s degree in social services, and 1–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services field required.
  • 1-3 years related work experience preferred.
  • Peer Support Specialist certification by Oregon or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Provide peer-based, supportive services to adults, children, adolescents, and families as assigned by a QMHP, Clinical Supervisor or Administrator.
  • Work as part of an integrated care team across programs such as ACT, Crisis, Intensive Services, Outpatient, Jail Diversion, Wrap, Residential or Detox.
