Job summary

ColumbiaCare Services in North Bend, OR is seeking a Residential Peer Support Specialist to join our team. You will meet new residents at admission, provide compassionate support, help articulate personal goals, and facilitate peer groups to share recovery stories and challenges.

The role requires certification as a Peer Support Specialist or Peer Wellness Specialist through the Oregon Health Authority, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel to Coos Bay as needed.

Qualifications

• Have personal experience with mental health challenges.
• Be Certified and Registered as a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) or Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS) through the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).

Responsibilities

• Meet each new resident at admission and support the individual in feeling welcome and articulating self-determined goals.
• Facilitate and coordinate peer groups for recovery discussions; provide crisis de‑escalation training as needed.
• Travel to Coos Bay as required for program operations.
