Job summary

Community Counseling Solutions in Pendleton, OR seeks a Peer Support Specialist with lived recovery experience to help clients on their path to wellness. You will provide peer counseling and collaborate with staff to empower client choice and self-determination.

This role involves documenting care, supporting group activities, and assisting in crisis situations alongside clinicians. A team-based environment with benefits and flexible scheduling is offered.

Qualifications

• No minimum education or experience required.
• Attended a peer support conference/training and work toward Peer Certification in Oregon.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer counseling and support using lived experience to encourage recovery and empower clients.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation of all clinical notes and data entry when required.
• Help clients identify and combat stigma and participate in consumer self-help programs.
• Assist supervisor to organize and lead rehabilitative individual and group activities.
• Participate in clinical meetings to discuss client progress and goals.
• Participate in clinical supervision as requested.
• Provide crisis support with clinicians until crisis is resolved or alternative placement is secured.
• Provide transportation to clients when clinically recommended to access services.
