Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. is seeking a part-time, on-site Domestic Violence Advocate for community-based work in Ware, MA. The role focuses on outreach, advocacy, and assisting survivors with safety plans, shelter, and resources within Western Massachusetts' Domestic Violence Services.

Applicants should have a HS diploma and DV training; a bachelor’s is preferred. The position offers a supportive HEART-centered culture with opportunities for professional growth and a schedule of ~22

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience working with survivors of Domestic Violence preferred.
• Completion of 20–30 hours of training in domestic violence and sexual assault required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct domestic violence and sexual assault outreach and education.
• Provide support, advocacy, transportation, and referrals to survivors.
• Help survivors create, implement, and update safety plans and case management.
• Assist survivors in obtaining shelter, financial assistance, and other basic needs.
• Maintain accurate files and prepare progress notes and reports.
