Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health seeks a CANS Assessment Associate to conduct comprehensive assessments for children and youth across virtual, home, school, and community settings. You''ll coordinate with families, providers, and partners to ensure timely access to appropriate services and maintain compliant documentation within the EHR and CANS portal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current Ohio CANS certification or ability to certify within the first 21 days of employment.
• 2-3 years of experience in community mental health, child welfare, or a closely related human services setting is required.
• Knowledge of Medicaid regulations and compliance requirements is required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to travel within designated service areas.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and CANS portal.
• Ability to bill Medicaid without restrictions.
• Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive CANS assessments for youth in virtual, home, school, and community settings.
• Coordinate with families, providers, and partners, and connect youth to appropriate services.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and CANS portal.
• Ensure compliance with state, agency, and OhioRISE requirements.
• Collaborate with staff and community partners to support care coordination.
• Travel within designated service areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
