Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Community Association Manager – Portfolio to lead associations within the western Chicago suburbs. You will report to the Hoffman Estates corporate office and oversee operations, staff, and governance in multiple communities.

Responsibilities include budgeting, board liaison, and ensuring regulatory compliance while maintaining high service standards for residents and vendors. This full-time role requires on-site presence for meetings and inspections.

Qualifications

• Active Community Association Manager license in Illinois.
• Understanding of building management and condominium law.
• Knowledge of financial planning for communities.
• Strong communication and collaboration with boards and residents.

Responsibilities

• Develop recommendations for community goals and lead action plans to achieve Board objectives.
• Provide leadership to ensure homeowners' needs are addressed.
• Maintain regular communication with Board members via in-person, email, and phone.
• Create and manage annual budgets and monitor financial position monthly.
• Protect client funds, property, and assets against contingencies.
• Support Board meetings with agenda, reports, and follow-up.
• Ensure service excellence in interactions with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Assess community needs and collaborate with external vendors for programs.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise community staff.
• Coordinate with local emergency organizations for evacuation plans.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois Condo Act and FirstService policies.
