Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Community Association Manager in the northern Chicago suburbs. You will lead the association on behalf of the Board of Directors, oversee operations, ensure legal compliance, and manage staff and vendors while maintaining exceptional service to residents.

You will develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and coordinate with emergency organizations. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to drive community initiatives and uphold

Qualifications

Active Community Association Manager license in Illinois is required.
Experience guiding boards and managing community associations.
Strong budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication with residents, vendors, and staff.
Ability to supervise staff and coordinate internal and external resources.

Responsibilities

Develop recommendations for community goals and lead action plans to achieve Board objectives.
Provide guidance to ensure homeowner needs are addressed.
Create and monitor annual budgets; report monthly on financial position.
Protect client funds and property from risks and losses.
Lead Board meetings with agenda support and post-meeting follow-ups.
Maintain service quality with residents, vendors, and staff against governing documents.
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise community staff per management plan.
Collaborate with emergency organizations for evacuation and safety plans.
