Job summary

FirstService Residential in Hoffman Estates, IL seeks a Community Association Manager - Portfolio to lead associations under the Board's direction, enhance communication, enforce compliance, and oversee operations and staff.

You will manage budgets, coordinate with Board members, supervise staff, recruit and train, ensure legal compliance, and build strong vendor relations while delivering excellent service to residents.

Qualifications

• Active Community Association Manager license in Illinois.
• Understanding of building management, Condominium law, financial planning, and property law.
• Collaborates effectively with coworkers, clients, and others; solves problems constructively.
• Budgetary knowledge to execute programs and related cost-sharing activities.
• High energy and ability to multi-task/prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Portfolio management experience or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop recommendations for community goals and lead action plans to achieve Board objectives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to ensure homeowners' needs are met.
• Maintain regular communication with Board members and exceed client needs.
• Create and implement the annual budget; monitor financial position monthly.
• Ensure protection of client funds, property, and assets against contingencies.
• Lead Board meetings with agenda support and follow-up reports.
• Maintain service excellence in interactions with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Assess community needs; collaborate with external partners to implement improvements.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all community staff.
• Coordinate with local emergency services for evacuation plans as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois Condo Act and FirstService Residential policies.
